Hyderabad: Members of the Rajeev Rahadari Property Owners held a meeting on Sunday, asking the State government to reconsider the road widening plans for the upcoming elevated corridors in Secunderabad Cantonment. They urged the government to reduce the widening from the proposed 200 feet to 100 feet.

During the meeting, some property owners expressed concerns about how the widening would affect them. They explained that, while properties are valuable, many of the members rely on them for their livelihood. Most of these members are senior citizens who depend on their properties for food and medical expenses.

Earlier, senior officials from both the State and Central governments reviewed the plans for constructing two elevated corridors. These corridors are expected to connect Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm, Suchitra, Medchal, and the 44th National Highway. They will also extend from Patny to Toli Junction and further connect to the Shameerpet Outer Ring Road, according to a senior officer from Secunderabad Cantonment.
