Hyderabad: The state cabinet is set to meet next week and is expected to approve a plan aimed at boosting the manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs), automobiles, and cosmetics. They are also considering the establishment of a world-class sports complex and strategies to grow the textile industry.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is eager to quickly implement the agreements made with various companies during his recent 12-day visit to the US and South Korea. He is focused on advancing the development of the proposed ‘Fourth City,’ which is intended to elevate Telangana as a leading destination for investments.
During the upcoming cabinet meeting, the members will discuss how to implement these agreements with global companies. They will explore necessary policy decisions to ensure these companies receive speedy approvals and support from the state government. The government is also awaiting the visit of the Foxconn team to Hyderabad.
Officials mentioned that they will discuss the land requirements for the companies that have signed agreements with the government. They will also look into the development of infrastructure and other necessary facilities to set up manufacturing units in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad. The aim is to come up with a clear policy decision on these matters.
Additionally, the cabinet is likely to consider the creation of industrial zones in various districts. This would help establish manufacturing units in rural parts of Telangana, thereby generating more employment opportunities. The role of Young India Skills University in providing skilled manpower to meet the demands of these upcoming global companies will also be an important topic of discussion during the meeting.
