Hyderabad: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, along with other top BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and BL Santhosh, held a meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence on Wednesday. Following this, the Prime Minister has called for an important meeting of the Union Cabinet in New Delhi on July 3. This meeting is significant for three reasons: it will take place at the convention centre in Pragati Maidan, where the G-20 summit will be held in September; all Ministers of State have been invited, which is unusual; and it is scheduled before the monsoon session of Parliament in July.

There are speculations about a Cabinet reshuffle and changes in the BJP’s organizational structure. Along with this, there may also be changes in the party’s organization at the central and state levels as preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections intensify. Sources suggest that three general secretaries and four secretaries may be inducted into the BJP national organization. The Prime Minister has been informed about these changes in light of the upcoming elections.

It is rumored that several BJP leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana may be included in the Cabinet. There is also a possibility of Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi joining the Cabinet. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s sudden visit to New Delhi has sparked speculation that members from his camp may also be considered for the new Cabinet.

Furthermore, there may be significant changes in the state units of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. The BJP wants to strengthen its position in Madhya Pradesh after facing a major defeat in Karnataka. In Rajasthan, despite being in an advantageous situation, the party is facing a leadership crisis. The BJP’s progress in Telangana has slowed, while the Congress is making efforts to regain its lost ground and challenge the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
