Hyderabad: The Congress party has decided not to expand the state Cabinet until after the Lok Sabha elections. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with AICC general secretary (Org) K C Venugopal to discuss election-related issues and review the impact of government decisions on the polls.

Both the CM and Venugopal agreed that expanding the Cabinet now could cause dissent within the party. Therefore, the decision was made to postpone any expansion until after the elections.
