The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee is planning to start a bus yatra from August 15. They will cover all Assembly constituencies in the route. In the first phase, 10 senior leaders will take part in the yatra. This decision was made at a meeting of the TPCC’s political affairs committee, chaired by Manikrao Thakre.

During the meeting, party strategist Sunil Kanugolu gave a 30-minute power point presentation on the bus yatra and the five issues that party leaders need to address. These issues include affordable gas cylinders, job creation, waiving off farmers’ loans, and financial assistance for housing construction.

Kanugolu also provided a list of potential new party members and discussed how they could benefit the Congress party. The meeting also addressed concerns about potential dissent from long-time party members and discussed matters related to BC and minority declarations.

In a separate incident, supporters of senior party leader Ponnam Prabhakar held a protest at Gandhi Bhavan because their leader was not included in any of the committees. Thakre and other leaders spoke to Prabhakar and assured him that the issue would be resolved soon.
