Builders and developers from Maharashtra visited Hyderabad to see the progress made by Telangana in various sectors. The delegation, consisting of 250 representatives from real estate organizations, praised the Telangana government for its fast development. The focus of their visit was on the development of Hyderabad city.
During their visit, the delegation met with State MA&UD Minister KTR at T-Hub. KTR gave a detailed presentation on the programs implemented by the State to transform Hyderabad into a global city. He highlighted the significant progress made by Telangana under Chief Minister KCR’s leadership, particularly in terms of infrastructure and real estate.
KTR emphasized the historical and cultural ties between Telangana and Maharashtra, as many districts of Maharashtra were part of the State of Hyderabad in the past. He also mentioned his personal connection with Maharashtra, recalling his student days in Pune.
The Minister explained that Telangana was established after a long struggle for a separate state. Despite initial apprehensions, the Telangana government has achieved remarkable development in the past 10 years through progressive policies and welfare schemes. The government has successfully addressed issues like electricity and drinking water shortages, and is committed to holistic and balanced development in both urban and rural areas.
KTR stressed the importance of allocating sufficient funds for infrastructure development in cities, as they are vital for economic growth. He mentioned that Hyderabad has attracted investments not only in the IT sector but also in life sciences and biotechnology, thanks to its world-class infrastructure. Hyderabad has also surpassed Bengaluru in creating IT jobs for two consecutive years and leads in both IT exports and paddy production.
Representatives from Maharashtra’s CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India) expressed their admiration for Telangana’s progress. They acknowledged that there were tensions before the formation of Telangana but praised the State government for its efforts in taking care of all citizens. They recognized Telangana’s strengths in agriculture, innovation, and technology across various sectors.
