Gadwal: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Alampur Assembly President, Sashi Varma Teja, has asked for grand celebrations to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. As part of the preparations, party leaders released pamphlets on Tuesday in Uppal Camp village, located in the Mandal area.
During the event, Sashi Varma Teja spoke about Phule’s important work in the field of education. He explained that Phule worked hard to improve education in India. He met with the Hunter Commission and pushed for changes in the education system. According to Teja, Phule believed that education was the key to changing society and ending the caste system.
Teja also praised Phule’s efforts to help the poor and marginalized people, especially through education. He talked about how Phule supported women’s education and even trained his wife, Savitribai Phule, to become the first female teacher in India. He said that both Phule and his wife made big sacrifices to spread education and their efforts should never be forgotten.
The BSP leader encouraged all party members and supporters to join in celebrating Mahatma Phule’s birth anniversary, which will be held on the 11th of next month.
Several BSP members, including Manohar, Tayanna, John, Raju, and others, were present during the pamphlet release event.
