    BRSV Students Protest for More Education Budget in Telangana

    Gadwal, Hyderabad: Students from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhagam (BRSV) staged a protest near the Telangana Assembly, demanding that the government allocate 15% of the budget to education. The protest was led by Kurva Pallayya and supported by several student leaders, including Katta Srinivas, Naveen Chandra Reddy, Balu, Tulasi Goud, Veeresh, Praneeth, and Shiva.

    Key Demands of the Protesters

    During the demonstration, Kurva Pallayya highlighted several demands aimed at improving education and addressing student issues in the state.

    1. Recruitment of Two Lakh Jobs Annually
    The students urged the government to provide two lakh job opportunities every year to tackle unemployment among the youth.

    2. ₹100 Crore Allocation for Each University
    They demanded that every university in Telangana receive at least ₹100 crores to improve infrastructure and academic facilities.

    3. Immediate Release of Pending Fee Reimbursements
    The protesters called for the immediate clearance of pending fee reimbursement dues to support students from economically weaker backgrounds.

    4. Integrated Residential Schools in Every Mandal
    They insisted that each mandal (administrative division) should have one integrated residential school to ensure quality education for all students.

    5. ₹5 Lakh ‘Vidya Bharosa’ Card for Every Student
    The students demanded that the state implement the promised ₹5 lakh ‘Vidya Bharosa’ card to assist students with higher education expenses.

    6. Scooters for Female Students Above 18 Years
    The protesters emphasized that the government must fulfill its promise of providing scooters to female students above 18 years to help them commute to educational institutions.

    The protest grew stronger as student leaders urged the government to prioritize education in the state budget. They warned that if their demands are not met, they will continue their agitation in the coming days.
