The political battle between the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) and Congress is now making waves in Delhi. Recently, BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) commented that people have realized what they lost in the last 11 months. In response, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said only KCR and his family lost jobs, while the public gained significantly.
In a separate development, the BRS accused the state government of favoritism. They claimed that the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) works were unfairly awarded to a relative of Revanth Reddy. On Monday, BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) went to Delhi and met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He submitted a request to cancel contracts given to Srujan Reddy’s company, alleging that the company was not eligible for projects worth more than Rs 1,500 crore.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy is also heading to Delhi on Tuesday. He plans to meet with AICC (All India Congress Committee) leaders to discuss Telangana’s political situation and invite them to celebrate one year of Congress rule in the state. He will also talk about bringing some key BRS leaders into Congress.
Revanth Reddy is expected to meet senior government officials and ministers to explain the truth behind the AMRUT project contracts. He believes the BRS is spreading false claims because they couldn’t challenge him politically. He plans to provide a detailed report to the Union Ministry during his meeting with Manohar Lal Khattar and other high-ranking officials.
In response to these developments, KTR took to his social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) and claimed his Delhi visit has caused panic in Hyderabad. Countering this, I&PR Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar said KTR rushed to Delhi to seek help from the BJP, as he fears getting trapped in investigations related to phone tapping and other cases.
