BRS Leaders File Complaint Against CM Revanth Reddy Over Formula E Race Cancellation
Hyderabad: Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) approached the Narsinghi police on Tuesday, demanding an investigation into Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s decision to cancel the Formula E Race. They claimed this decision caused significant investments to shift to other states.
The BRS leaders alleged that the cancellation violated Section 316 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), terming it a breach of trust. Led by party leader RS Praveen Kumar, the group submitted a formal complaint requesting the interrogation of Revanth Reddy over the issue.
Praveen Kumar stated that, as a taxpayer, he had contributed to the State’s treasury, which funded initiatives like the “Mobility Valley” program. He explained that the previous BRS government envisioned Mobility Valley to boost the State’s economy, create thousands of jobs for youth, and generate significant revenue.
He further criticized Revanth Reddy’s actions, highlighting that the previous government had successfully organized the Formula E Race, which was planned to take place four more times. According to Praveen Kumar, the cancellation of the race hindered the establishment of Mobility Valley, causing a major setback to the State’s development.
The BRS leaders urged authorities to take swift action against what they described as a thoughtless decision by the Chief Minister.
