BRS leaders in Hyderabad have prepared a petition to disqualify party MLAs Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Dr. Sanjay, and are waiting for a meeting with Telangana Assembly Speaker G Prasad. They contacted the Speaker by phone, and he agreed to meet with them on Wednesday. BRS senior leader G Jagadish Reddy stated that the two MLAs had originally won their seats with BRS party support but later joined the Congress party. The BRS leaders plan to demand the cancellation of their membership and also want three other MLAs disqualified.

Jagadish Reddy emphasized that the Speaker should take action against the defecting MLAs, highlighting the importance of following through on promises made by political parties. He accused the Congress party of betraying its own principles by welcoming defectors. According to him, this behavior goes against the Anti-Defection Act established by Congress governments in the past.

The BRS leader criticized the Congress party for its alleged deceitful tactics and called out internal divisions within the party. He vowed to hold all defectors accountable and ensure they face consequences for their actions. Jagadish Reddy also accused Revanth Reddy, a prominent figure in the Congress party, of encouraging defections out of fear and self-preservation.

Overall, the BRS leaders are determined to uphold party integrity and prevent further defections, even if it means challenging powerful figures within the political landscape.
