Citizens in Hyderabad should be prepared for traffic diversions and congestion as the ruling BRS party plans to hold roadshows, rallies, and meetings with different communities, including IT professionals, in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) from the second week of November.

KT Rama Rao, the Industry Minister and working president of the BRS party, has been given the responsibility of organizing these roadshows, rallies, and street-corner meetings in each Assembly segment. The BRS party is concerned that IT employees and people from Andhra Pradesh may not vote for them this time, so they want to connect with them and persuade them.

One of the reasons for this campaign approach is that the voter turnout in the GHMC limits during the 2014 and 2018 Assembly elections was less than 50 percent. KCR, the Chief Minister, will hold a meeting with key leaders from different communities to increase the voter turnout. There is a schedule in place where KTR will have community-based meetings in the morning and afternoon, and rallies and street-corner meetings in the evening.

During these events, KTR will highlight the improvements in infrastructure, such as the road network, flyovers, regular safe drinking water supply, affordable living conditions, maintenance of law and order, communal harmony, and low crime rates in Hyderabad.

KCR also plans to meet with IT professionals and first-time voters. He will also meet with traders from other states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala to explain the achievements of the BRS government and seek their support in the elections.

Separate social media teams have already been formed to reach out to voters during the election period. KTR is also interested in interacting with voters in Greater Hyderabad through teleconferences to inquire about the civic amenities provided since the BRS party came to power in the state.
