The BRS party has decided to oppose the Uniform Civil Code bill that the Centre wants to introduce in the monsoon session of Parliament. This decision was made after a meeting between AIMIM president Assad Uddin Owaisi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR stated that India is known for its diversity and the bill would divide the people and create tensions. He also criticized the BJP-led government for neglecting the country’s development and creating enmity among people. The CM directed Parliamentary Party leaders K. Keshava Rao and Nama Nageshwar Rao to prepare an action plan to fight against the bill in both houses of Parliament.
