Protest in Jogulamba Gadwal for Farmers' Support

BRS party leaders held a protest in front of the Ambedkar statue in Jogulamba Gadwal on Sunday. The protest was aimed at demanding the immediate release of the Rythu Bandhu scheme for farmers. The demonstration was led by State leader Dr. Kuruva Vijay Kumar.

During the protest, Vijay Kumar criticized the Congress government’s recent decision to cancel farmers’ insurance for the rainy season. He emphasized that under the leadership of KCR, farmers were promised better financial support. Vijay Kumar warned that if Congress came to power, they would provide ₹15,000 to farmers under Rythu Barosa and waive loans for two lakh farmers.

He also pointed out that Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswarao recently stated there would be no Rythu Bandhu this year. Vijay Kumar accused Congress Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of misleading farmers and failing to deliver on promises. This includes the promise to give ₹12,000 per year to landless farmers and a ₹500 bonus per quintal of rice, which has not been paid yet.

Vijay Kumar also took aim at local MLA Krishnamohan Reddy. He accused the MLA of switching from BRS to Congress for personal gain, betraying the party that helped him win his election.

The protest ended with a strong demand for the immediate release of this season’s Rythu Bandhu funds, a full loan waiver for farmers, and the payment of promised bonuses. Many local BRS leaders participated in the protest, showing their commitment to supporting the farmers.
