In a major political development, former PCC chief MP N Uttamkumar Reddy and former minister MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy have dealt a big blow to the BRS party. They have successfully convinced key leaders from Kodada, Nalgonda, and Nagarjuna Sagar constituencies to join the Congress. This has caused a lot of concern among the sitting BRS MLAs in these areas.
In the Kodada constituency, Uttam Reddy personally approached prominent BRS leaders who were against the current BRS MLA, Bollam Mallaiah. This group includes former MLA Venepalli Chandra Rao, Constituency BRS in-charge Kanmantha Reddy Sasidhar Reddy, and former DCCB Chairman Muttavarapu Panduranga Rao. The Congress has warmly welcomed these leaders and urged them to join their party.
Similarly, in the Nalgonda Assembly constituency, Municipal Vice Chairman Abbagoni Ramesh Goud has made the bold decision to align himself with the Congress. He has been joined by others such as Khayumbeg, Pradeep Naik, Jerripotula Ashwini Bhaskar Goud, and Pappu Saishri Sandeep.
The momentum continued as State House Committee Member and councillor Azizuddin Bashir, Ramalingalagudem MPTC Muthineni Anusha, and several sarpanches and MPTCs also decided to switch their loyalties to the Congress.
This major shift in allegiance took place at the residence of former minister and MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy in Hyderabad. MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy warmly welcomed the BRS people’s representatives and symbolically adorned them with party Kandavas as they officially joined the Congress. This marks a significant turning point in the region’s political landscape.
