In Hyderabad, BRS leaders are asking the government to pay farmers a bonus of Rs 500 and give Rs 25,000 per acre for damaged crops. Party members in different districts are submitting memoranda to Collectors as directed by party chief K Chandrashekar Rao. A group of BRS leaders met with the chief secretary at the Secretariat to discuss their demands.

The BRS leaders say that farmers are suffering due to crop losses caused by water scarcity and untimely rains. They accuse the government of not providing free power to farmers and not releasing water to canals, leading to nearly 200 farmer suicides in the last three months. The party is asking for immediate water release, free power for farmers, and Rs 25,000 per acre in compensation for crop losses.
