The cultivation area for the Rabi season in Telangana has decreased, according to BRS leader S Niranjan Reddy. He believes that farmers are stepping back from cultivation due to a lack of trust in the government. Niranjan Reddy expressed his concerns during a press conference, stating that migrations to Parliament had stopped during the tenure of K Chandrashekar Rao.

Niranjan Reddy finds it unfortunate that the Rabi cultivation area has decreased this year. He believes that the difficulties in providing water to farmers should be explained and that no one knows what is happening in the state. He criticized the stoppage of Rythu Bandhu, which was unfair to farmers, and mentioned the absence of 24-hour free power due to power cuts.

Niranjan Reddy claimed that farmers had courageously cultivated under the KCR government. However, he called for clarity from the current government on crop cultivation in the Godavari basin and highlighted the near completion of the Palamuru Rangareddy project. He also accused the Congress government of demoralizing farmers in recent days.

Niranjan Reddy emphasized the need for clear information on which crops farmers should plant and where water will be provided. He criticized the fact that farmers had to stand in queues for urea within a month of the new government taking charge. He also found Chief Minister’s comments during his visit to Davos to be inappropriate.
