    Telangana Jagruthi to Protest for BC Rights at Indira Park

    The Telangana Jagruthi wing of the BRS party is organizing a large protest at Indira Park on Friday. The protest aims to demand the implementation of the Congress party’s Kamareddy BC Declaration and a 42% reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections.

    The protest, called the “BC Mahasabha,” will also commemorate the birth anniversary of social reformer Savitri Bai Phule. BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha released the official poster for the event and reiterated the demand for better representation and rights for BCs.

    Several organizations have extended their support to the BC Mahasabha. The Telangana State Sarpanches Association Joint Action Committee (JAC), Telangana Vidyarthi JAC, and other public and caste-based organizations have pledged their participation. Survi Yadayya Goud, the State president of the Sarpanches Association JAC, assured that they will stand firmly behind Kavitha in her fight for the rights of BCs. He also stated that their members will attend the protest in large numbers to ensure their voices are heard.

    MLC Kavitha criticized the Congress-led government for neglecting the needs of BCs. She accused the government of causing harm by delaying the increase in reservations for BCs in local body elections. Kavitha emphasized the urgency of addressing these issues to ensure justice for the community.
