BRS MLC Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy has announced that he will resign from his membership in the State Legislative Council and the BRS party. He has decided to join the Congress party after attending their office inauguration in Nagarkurnool. Reddy stated that he could not continue in the ruling party because he felt undervalued. It is worth noting that his son Rajesh Reddy recently met with former Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

Initially, Reddy was expected to join the Congress along with former minister Jupally Krishna Rao at a public meeting in Nagarkurnool district. However, he will now join the party during Priyanka Gandhi’s public meeting in Kollapur in the third week of July.

Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao, both prominent leaders from the BRS, were previously suspended from the party for anti-party activities. They have since joined the Congress. Damodar Reddy is the latest member to leave the BRS ahead of the upcoming State Assembly elections, while the ruling BRS is making every effort to secure a third term in power.
