Hyderabad: BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy accused Minister Ponnam Prabhakar of being involved in a Rs 100-crore scam related to the transportation of fly ash from the Ramagundam NTPC. According to Kaushik Reddy, each lorry should transport 32 tonnes of fly ash, but 72 tonnes were being transported. He claimed that there was no mention of the quantity in the waybills.

Kaushik Reddy alleged that the minister was illegally earning Rs 50 lakh per day through the transportation of fly ash, with the money being collected by Prabhakar’s son Anoop. He mentioned catching 13 overloaded lorries and criticized transport officials for only seizing two vehicles due to pressure from the minister. Kaushik Reddy also highlighted that illegal fly ash transportation was leading to frequent road accidents, citing the case of a student named Akhil who lost his life.
