BRS Leaders Criticize Group-II Exam Questions

Hyderabad: Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) expressed strong objections on Monday regarding some of the questions asked in the Group-II examinations. They questioned whether the exam was conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) or the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

The BRS leaders highlighted specific questions they found objectionable. One of the questions asked was whether it was true or false that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supported the Pranab Mukherjee Committee for a separate Telangana State in 2009. Another question required candidates to identify companies associated with political figures such as Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Lagadapati Rajagopal, T Subbarami Reddy, and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao.

Additionally, the exam included a question on whether it was true that former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had adopted the Adilabad district and developed irrigation projects there. These questions raised concerns among BRS leaders, who felt they were unfair and politically biased.

A BRS leader remarked, “Looking at the questions in the Group-II exam conducted by TGPSC today, one cannot help but doubt whether it is a TGPSC or an APPSC exam.” The leaders further alleged that the inclusion of such questions was part of a conspiracy to undermine the Telangana movement and its significance. They criticized the involvement of the TSPSC in what they described as an “extremely wicked” attempt to erase the history and identity of the Telangana struggle.
