In Hyderabad, many BRS leaders are leaving to join the ruling Congress party. Former minister P Mahendar Reddy, his wife Sunitha Reddy, former GHMC Mayor B Rammohan, and K Chandrashekhar Reddy, who is Allu Arjun’s father-in-law, all joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Accompanied by supporters, Prof Ramana Naik also left the BRS to join the Congress. Before meeting the CM, these leaders met with Telangana Congress in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi and received party scarves.

Revanth has been holding secret talks with some senior BRS leaders to bring them into the party. Congress is especially focusing on North Telangana districts where it is not as strong, aiming to counter the growth of BJP and weaken the BRS there.
