BRS senior leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, saying that he is losing the trust of the people and that the Congress party will come in third place in the Lok Sabha elections. Lakshmaiah made these comments during a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. He pointed out that the Chief Minister’s provocative statements are not benefiting the people.
Lakshmaiah highlighted that despite the Chief Minister calling BRS a “dead snake,” their party has 60 lakh members and only a 1.85% difference in votes. He questioned how the BRS could be considered dead with such numbers. Additionally, he criticized the Chief Minister for using abusive language during campaigning, indicating a loss of confidence from the public. Lakshmaiah also challenged the Congress government’s track record of implementing guarantees in its first 100 days in power.
The BRS leader further mentioned that Revanth Reddy seems to be struggling with the public’s support for BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao during roadshows. He emphasized KCR’s extensive political experience, having won multiple Parliament and Assembly elections. KCR has been elected as an MLA nine times, an MP five times, and has served as a minister, deputy speaker, Union Minister, and Chief Minister twice. Lakshmaiah emphasized that there is no comparison between KCR and Revanth Reddy’s political achievements.
