BRS files complaint with CEO against Revanth over OU hostels issue

The BRS party has demanded action against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for spreading misinformation. They accused him of distorting facts and breaching the public’s trust. The party leaders also filed a complaint about an illegal case against their leader M Krishank. A delegation met with the Chief Electoral Officer to lodge the complaint.

According to the BRS leaders, the Congress party violated ethical standards by spreading false information and manipulating facts. They claimed that the Congress party forged signatures of a government employee to influence voters. The Congress party allegedly created a false notice dated May 12, 2023, to blame the BRS party in the election. They used this fabricated notice to mislead the public about demands and protests made by students regarding the closure of hostels at Osmania University.

The BRS leaders believe that the Congress party’s actions were meant to divert attention from the closure of hostels at Osmania University. They accused Revanth Reddy of trying to blame the previous BRS government for the current situation. The BRS leaders stated that the Congress party’s fabricated notice falsely claimed that the closure of hostels was due to a shortage of water and electricity, similar to a situation during the BRS government.

The party leaders, including MLAs KP Vivekanand and legal cell head S Bharat, expressed their outrage at the Congress party’s actions. They accused Revanth Reddy of trying to cover up their failure to address the genuine concerns of electricity and water shortage in university hostels.
