The BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao is having trouble finding a suitable candidate for the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency after the party candidate Kadiyam Kavya left. Former Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah is interested in running, but local party leaders want someone who was involved in the Telangana agitation.
KCR is looking for a strong leader to fill the void left by important leaders Aroori Ramesh and MP Pasunuri Dayakar, who have both left the party. The party had previously nominated Kadiyam Kavya, but she also left for the Congress.
In a meeting with State and district leaders, BRS activists emphasized the importance of choosing a candidate with ties to the Telangana agitation, rather than someone who switches parties frequently. They want a decision from the high command soon, as rival candidates from the BJP and Congress have already begun campaigning.
Possible candidates being considered include Peddi Swapna, Prof. Pulla Srinivas, and Dr Sudheer. A meeting of Warangal leaders was held to discuss these options, with the party hoping to make a decision quickly.
