KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, strongly criticized the Congress party’s attempt to remove Charminar and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam from the State emblem. He stated that his party will organize protests throughout the state against this move and urged the government not to take these symbols away.
During his visit to Charminar, Rama Rao spoke to the media, calling the efforts of the Congress party foolish and disrespectful towards the people of Telangana. He also accused the Congress of using this issue as a distraction from other pressing matters like agricultural and administrative crises, as well as government corruption.
Rama Rao specifically criticized Revanth Reddy’s actions to erase the history of KCR and his initiatives from Telangana. He emphasized that the history of Telangana cannot be erased and questioned the motives behind the sudden urgency to remove these symbols instead of focusing on fulfilling electoral promises.
According to Rama Rao, Hyderabad’s identity is closely tied to Charminar, which is a global symbol of the city. Despite opposition from the people of Telangana and activists, he accused the Congress government of acting out of political malice. Rama Rao warned that if the decision is not revoked, BRS will organize protests across Telangana.
