BRS leader M. Krishank has accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his family of being involved in commission-based contracts in Karnataka.
Krishank presented complaint letters written by a Karnataka MLA to the Lokayukta, requesting an investigation into Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. The MLA alleged that Bengaluru contracts were given to certain individuals linked to Revanth Reddy’s family in exchange for a 15% commission.
The BRS leader further criticized Revanth Reddy, claiming that his statements and actions lack sincerity. He accused Revanth of frequently changing his stance on business establishments. Krishank pointed out that Karnataka MLA Muni Ratna had complained about D.K. Shivakumar favoring Telangana contractors connected to Revanth’s relatives. He also mentioned that the KPC project, which Revanth had previously criticized, was now linked to Revanth’s brother, Anumula Tirupati Reddy, who recently secured a major contract in Bengaluru.
Krishank also brought up the EMAAR issue, stating that Revanth Reddy had earlier demanded the demolition of EMAAR properties but was now working to resolve the company’s issues in Hyderabad. He alleged that Adani was in talks to acquire EMAAR India for ₹5,000 crore and suggested that Revanth’s actions might be an indirect way of aligning with Adani, despite Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s opposition to him.
Additionally, Krishank criticized the Telangana government for preventing BRS leader Harish Rao from entering the SLBC tunnel to oversee relief operations, while BJP leaders were allowed access. He questioned why central investigative agencies had not initiated any inquiries into corruption charges against Revanth Reddy’s government, despite similar demands being made against BRS leaders.
