Hyderabad police have arrested a man for making a fake bomb threat to the Telangana Secretariat. The 35-year-old caller falsely claimed that a bomb had been planted on the premises and would explode soon.

The threat caused panic on Tuesday when an anonymous person called the Chief Minister’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) with the warning. The PRO immediately informed the police, who conducted a thorough search of the Secretariat. Special security forces, local police, and anti-sabotage teams inspected the area and confirmed that it was a hoax.

Investigations revealed that the caller had been repeatedly making the same threat for the past three days. Using his phone number and location, the police identified him as Syed Mir Mohammad Ali. Authorities reported that he initially called the Secretariat’s landline to complain about a religious site in Langer Houz. When he did not receive a satisfactory response, he allegedly threatened to blow up the building.

This incident comes shortly after another security scare at the Telangana Secretariat, where a man was caught impersonating a revenue department employee using a fake ID card.

Additionally, a similar bomb hoax occurred at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on January 29. In that case, a man named Nitin from Kamareddy made nearly 100 threat calls to the airport. Police later determined that he was mentally unstable.

Authorities continue to take strict action against false bomb threats, as they cause unnecessary panic and waste emergency resources.
