Global investment firm Blackstone has announced its plans to build a state-of-the-art data centre in Hyderabad, in partnership with the Telangana government. The project, called the Blackstone Data Centre Hyderabad, will have a capacity of 150 MW and will require an investment of ₹4,500 crore. This facility aims to support cloud services, AI-driven applications, and large-scale data processing, fostering innovation in the global digital economy.

The Telangana government formalized this collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Blackstone Lumina, the firm’s data centre division, and JCK Infra. The agreement was signed on Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Through this partnership, Telangana is seeking to strengthen its reputation as a technology hub and a key player in India’s IT infrastructure sector.

This initiative is set to drive the state’s economic growth and solidify its leadership in the Indian IT industry. The significant investment by Blackstone is also expected to draw more international businesses to Telangana, further boosting the region’s technology sector and economy.
