Popular actress and former MLA Jayasudha has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She joined the party in Delhi in the presence of BJP National General Secretary and Telangana State President Kishan Reddy, among others. Tarun Chugh welcomed her into the party. Chugh mentioned that Jayasudha was impressed by the progress made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past nine years.

Jayasudha is known for her work in various languages, including Telugu, and has a strong fan following. She has received many Nandi awards and Filmfare awards, establishing a good reputation in the film industry. She served as an MLA from 2009 to 2014.

Kishan Reddy highlighted Jayasudha’s five-decade-long career as an actress and mentioned that her joining the BJP would bring more enthusiasm to the party. He also praised her efforts in working for the welfare of the poor and the development of slums during her time as an MLA. Reddy expressed the desire for democratic rule to replace family rule, corrupt rule, and dictatorial rule in Telangana.
