BJP Sirpur MLA Dr Palvali Hareesh Babu is asking the State government to increase compensation to Rs 20 lakh for those who died in wild animal attacks. He spoke to the media on Sunday, criticizing officials and the forest department for not addressing the growing issue of man-animal conflicts in his area.

People are scared after a wild elephant from Maharashtra entered the forest areas of the Sirpur Assembly segment and killed two individuals. Dr Haressh Babu noted that Maharashtra has already announced Rs 20 lakh in compensation for victims of wild animal attacks, distributed within 30 days.

He is urging the State government to quickly issue orders for increased compensation and ensure timely distribution, as well as provide a job to the family members of those who lost their lives in such incidents.
