Telangana BJP leaders criticized the ruling BRS and K Chandrashekar Rao government for their comments against Governor Tamilisai Soundrarajan. The governor rejected the government’s MLC nominees under the Governor’s quota and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
D K Aruna, the party’s national vice-president, accused the Kalvakuntla family of looting the state’s wealth and being unfit to develop it. She also criticized IT Minister K T Rama Rao for his comments against Dr. Tamilisai, saying that he did not consider her position as a woman. Aruna added that KTR’s outbursts showed his sense of entitlement.
Aruna further stated that while Modi is praised as a great leader internationally, the BRS and KTR call him ‘unfit.’ She pointed out that this exposes their aversion towards the backward classes and marginalized in society. Aruna warned the Kalavakuntla family and KTR that people would teach them a lesson if they continue to make disrespectful remarks.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the party’s national general secretary and Karimnagar MP, supported the Governor’s decision to reject the government’s nominations. He commended her for using her discretionary powers under the Constitution. Kumar criticized the government for trying to make the Governor a rubber stamp and expecting her to blindly sign whatever files were sent to her. He stated that it was inappropriate for the government and ruling party to attack the Governor for not following their orders.
