BJP Wins Delhi Elections, Hanumakonda Leaders Celebrate
The BJP has won the Delhi Assembly elections, defeating the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This victory shows the growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to Kolanu Santhosh Reddy, the BJP’s Hanumakonda district president.
On Saturday, BJP members in Hanumakonda celebrated their win at Chowrastha. Reddy highlighted that Delhi is important in national politics. He pointed out that after 27 years, people in Delhi have chosen BJP, bringing in a ‘double engine sarkar’—a term used when the same party governs both the state and center. He also expressed confidence that BJP would win in Telangana in the next elections.
Reddy also mentioned that the election results reflect the weakening position of the Congress party.
BJP State leader Dr. Pagadala Kaliprasad noted that this victory marks BJP’s strong return to power in Delhi after nearly three decades. He added that voters rejected AAP after 12 years and that this was Congress’s third consecutive defeat in the region.
Other BJP leaders, including Ravula Sudarshan, Muthyala Srinivas, and N Srinivas Rao, joined the celebrations. They distributed sweets and burst crackers to mark the occasion.
