BJP Leader Warns Against Encroachment on Karmika Bhavan Land

Senior BJP leader and chairman of Warangal Urban Cooperative Bank, Errabelli Pradeep Rao, has issued a warning to the government. He threatened to launch an agitation if the land belonging to Azam Jahi Karmika Bhavan is encroached upon and used for building a commercial complex.

Speaking to the media in Warangal on Tuesday, Pradeep Rao criticized the ruling Congress leaders. He expressed discontent with their support for a textile industrialist who plans to construct a commercial complex on the land meant for Karmika Bhavan.

Pradeep Rao also took issue with Konda Muralidhar Rao, the husband of former minister and MLC Konda Surekha. He questioned Konda Murali’s decision to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the commercial complex. Pradeep Rao pointed out that Konda Murali had previously opposed such encroachments when the BRS party was in power.

“It’s not right to demolish Karmika Bhavan, which was built 75 years ago with the contributions of Azam Jahi workers,” Pradeep Rao stated. He emphasized the historical and social significance of the structure and called for its preservation.

Pradeep Rao warned that the BJP, with the support of other labor unions, would initiate an agitation if the plan for the commercial complex is not abandoned. He urged the textile industrialist behind the project to reconsider and return the land for the benefit of workers.

The press conference was attended by prominent local leaders and party members, including former mayor Dr. Rajeshwar Rao, former MLA Kondeti Sridhar, and senior leaders like V Sammi Reddy, Ratnam Sathish Shaw, and Samudrala Parameshwar, among others.
