The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the birth anniversary of the famous poet Kaloji Narayan Rao today at its Aija office. The event was organized under the leadership of Aija Town Convener, Pradeep Kumar. It was held to honor Kaloji’s significant contributions to the language and culture of Telangana.
BJP Jogulamba Gadwal District President, S. Ramachandra Reddy, attended the event as the chief guest. He offered floral tributes to a portrait of Kaloji Narayan Rao and gave a speech. In his speech, he highlighted how Kaloji’s writings shaped the cultural identity of Telangana. He called Kaloji a “People’s Poet” and said that his works are not just for reading but for sharpening the minds of the people.
Ramachandra Reddy also spoke about the importance of the Telangana dialect. He pointed out that while some people may look down on the dialect, those who truly understand it appreciate its deep emotional value. He said, “Even as cultures and traditions change, the soul of the Telangana language remains strong.”
Other important members of the BJP also attended the event. These included BJP Kisan Morcha State Executive Member Medi Konda Bheemsen Rao, Town Co-Convener Kampati Bhagat Reddy, District OBC Morcha General Secretary Venkatesh Yadav, Town Vice Presidents Lakshman Goud, and Booth Presidents Raghu and Bheemesh.
The event ended with everyone pledging to continue preserving and promoting Telangana’s rich language and cultural heritage.
