Gadwal: Today, a visit to Deva Nagar Colony in Aija Municipality was organized under the leadership of BJP Kisan Morcha State Executive Member Medikonda Bhim Sen Rao. The event aimed to bring attention to the colony’s issues, with District President Ramachandra Reddy serving as the chief guest.

During his speech, Reddy discussed the poor condition of the internal roads in Deva Nagar Colony. He criticized both the previous BRS government and the current Congress administration for failing to fix the infrastructure, despite large funds being provided by the central government and taxes collected from the people.

Reddy also highlighted a major safety concern in the colony. High-tension electrical lines pass directly over homes, and during the rainy season, residents have experienced electric shocks due to power surges. He urged the electricity department to resolve the issue quickly or face protests. He warned that the local substation would be surrounded if no action is taken.

Another issue raised by Reddy was the impact of recent heavy rains, which have turned the colony into a muddy swamp. This has led to venomous snakes entering homes, creating a dangerous situation for residents. He also warned that diseases like dengue and malaria could spread quickly if proper sanitation is not put in place.

Reddy called on the municipal authorities to launch an immediate sanitation drive to prevent health risks. He also warned that if the issues are not resolved soon, the BJP would organize protests against both the government and the municipal administration.

Many local BJP leaders and residents of Deva Nagar Colony took part in the program. Some of the key attendees included Aija Mandal President Gopalakrishna, Town General Secretary Pradeep Kumar, District OBC Morcha General Secretary Venkatesh Yadav, Lakshman Chari, Town Vice Presidents Lakshman Goud, and Booth Presidents Raghu and Pinjari Ibrahim.
