N Ramchander Rao, a former Member of Legislative Council and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, criticized Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his five visits to the state in the last 14 months. Rao pointed out that even politically opposed leaders like Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala and MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu received PM Modi with humility as per protocol. He also stated that the people of Telangana will teach KCR a lesson for his behavior. Earlier, PM Modi had expressed his displeasure at the non-cooperation of the state government in Centre’s projects and urged them to not obstruct development measures. He also warned against dynasty politics and corruption, which he said were not different and urged Telangana to be careful of such people. Telangana CM KCR did not receive PM Modi at the airport or attend his program in the state.
