BJP senior leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has criticized the upcoming meeting of Southern State Chief Ministers, which is scheduled for March 22. The meeting, led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, is being held to oppose the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Speaking to the media over the phone on Friday, Ponguleti accused CM Stalin of spreading false information about the three-language policy and other national issues. He claimed that Stalin was doing this to divert public attention from the TASMAC liquor scam.
Ponguleti alleged that Stalin was creating baseless rumors about the NEP, the three-language policy, and delimitation. He also mentioned that Stalin was misleading people by claiming that the rupee symbol was removed from the budget document.
He further pointed out that these allegations came on the same day the DMK government presented the Tamil Nadu Budget for 2025-26 in the state Assembly. Ponguleti also criticized the governments of Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, saying they had failed to fulfill their election promises and were now trying to distract the public.
