The BJP Kisan Morcha State president, Kondapally Sridhar Reddy, has asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to fulfill his promise of waiving farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh. The morcha leaders met with the Agricultural Commissioner and submitted a memorandum, urging the government to address the issues faced by farmers in the state.
Reddy reminded that the Chief Minister had promised to waive farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh on December 9, as a gift to Sonia Gandhi, a Congress leader. However, this promise has not been fulfilled yet. Reddy requested the government to deposit the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ assistance in farmers’ accounts without further delay.
Reddy also criticized the previous government, led by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, for not providing subsidies on mechanized equipment to farmers for the past ten years. Additionally, he mentioned that the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Yojana has not been implemented in Telangana.
The representation was submitted to the agriculture commissioner by Goli Madhusudan Reddy, a national executive member of the Kisan Morcha, along with other state leaders.
