The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated the birth anniversary of famous poet Kaloji Narayan Rao at its office in Aija on Monday. The event was led by Aija town convener Pradeep Kumar and honored Kaloji’s important contributions to Telangana’s language and culture.
BJP Jogulamba Gadwal district president, S Ramachandra Reddy, spoke about Kaloji’s role in shaping Telangana’s cultural identity. He highlighted that Kaloji’s literary works not only belong in books but also help inspire and educate people. Ramachandra Reddy described Kaloji as a “People’s Poet” because of his vision for Telangana and its language.
Reddy also talked about the importance of the Telangana dialect. He said that while some may look down on it, those who truly understand it know how deep and emotional the dialect can be. He added that even as cultures and traditions change, the heart of the Telangana language remains strong, with its feelings and emotions unmatched by any other language.
The event was attended by several other leaders, including BJP Kisan Morcha state executive member Medi Konda Bheemsen Rao, town co-convener Kampati Bhagat Reddy, and OBC Morcha district general secretary Venkatesh Yadav, among others.
