The State BJP is happy because Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the creation of the National Turmeric Board (NTB) and the Sammakka-Sarakka Central Tribal University (SSCTU). The BJP wants to improve its seats in several districts in north Telangana.

However, the BJP has been criticized by the ruling BRS for not keeping its promise to set up a turmeric board in the last Parliament elections. The Nizambad Lok Sabha constituency is important for the BJP to keep and win back from the BRS.

K Kavitha used to represent the Nizambad Lok Sabha seat, but she lost to BJP’s Arvind Dhrmapuri. She has vowed to defeat him in the next elections. The BJP is determined to defeat those close to KCR and his family and retain Nizambad, Karimnagar, and Adilabad Lok Sabha seats.

The BJP has been criticized for misleading turmeric farmers and not setting up a turmeric board after winning elections. The announcement of NTB has given the BJP some relief and they plan to use it against the BRS.

The BJP needs NTB as MPs from Karimnagar and Nizambad are running in the upcoming assembly elections. They also want to gain support in Khammam district and other tribal reserved constituencies.

The BJP is concerned about issues like Podu land distribution, alleged attacks on tribals by the Forest staff and police, and the government’s failure to provide 10% reservation for ST population. This has caused anger among the tribals towards the BRS.
