BJP Alampur Mandal President Gopalakrishna has criticized the Telangana state government for delaying the appointment of a convener for the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) application process. He said this delay is causing anxiety among students who have completed their intermediate exams.

Speaking at a meeting in Alampur, Gopalakrishna pointed out that it has been a week since the intermediate exams ended, yet the government has not started the online application process for degree admissions. He questioned whether the government even plans to accept applications this academic year, saying the delay is creating fear and uncertainty among students.

The DOST application process was introduced in 2016-2017 to make it easier for students to apply to any degree college in Telangana with a single application and a nominal fee of ₹200. If the system is changed or not implemented, students will have to visit individual colleges and pay separate application fees, which will be a financial burden on them.

Gopalakrishna demanded that the state government immediately appoint a convener for the DOST admissions process and give students clarity about their future. He emphasized that education is crucial, and any negligence by the government could seriously impact students.
