BJP claims controversy on KRMB revolves around suitcases and sharing

The State BJP vice-president, NVSS Prabhakar, has accused the ruling Congress and BRS leaders of misleading people regarding the sharing of Krishna and Godavari river waters. He claims that confusion has been created around the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), which was established under the AP Re-organisation Act. Both Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and former CM K Chandrashekar Rao have demanded the Act’s early implementation, and this issue has been raised in and outside the Lok Sabha. Prabhakar alleges that KCR and his government have failed to provide necessary documents to the KRMB for water sharing, while the BRS government has consistently neglected attending board meetings, allowing the AP government to take advantage. Prabhakar questions why KCR accepted 299 tmcft if he now wants to blame the Centre. He accuses both the Congress and BRS of engaging in allegations and counter-allegations against each other on irrigation projects. Prabhakar believes that the controversy surrounding the transfer of the Nagarjunasagar and Srisailam projects to the KRMB is motivated by personal gain. The party also demands an inquiry into the role of former minister KT Rama Rao, citing reports of large-scale irregularities in departments. Prabhakar alleges that officers and BRS leaders with close links to KTR have faced serious allegations of financial irregularities in IT and Municipal Administration departments. Finally, Prabhakar expresses concern over reports that the ex-mayor and former deputy mayor are planning to join the Congress party, questioning their motives in relation to corrupt officers and leaders associated with KTR and their intentions to strengthen relations between the Congress and BRS.
