The Medak BJP candidate M Raghunandan Rao has accused BRS candidate Venkatrami Reddy of distributing Rs 500 to each voter during the Lok Sabha elections. Rao met with Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj to demand Reddy’s disqualification.

Rao claimed that Reddy paid Rs 500 to each voter and alleged that the local police did not take his complaints seriously. He also stated that when they reported money being transferred in multiple cars, only one car was seized by the Chegunta SI, containing a significant amount of money. Despite providing evidence, the Siddipet Commissioner of Police and SP Medak did not investigate further.

Expressing frustration with the lack of action, Rao questioned whether the police believed BRS still held power in Telangana. He threatened to escalate the issue to Delhi if justice was not served locally.
