State BJP vice-president and former MLA NVSS Prabhakar accused the Congress of minority appeasement. He criticized the Congress for choosing a hand as its election symbol instead of the cow and calf, which he believes shows the party’s attempt to appear secular. Prabhakar also mentioned the Congress’ opposition to the Uniform Civil Code, support for Pakistan’s stance on surgical strikes, and resistance to the Citizenship Amendment Act as examples of their minority appeasement policies.
He pointed out instances like Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s refusal to attend a religious ceremony in Ayodhya and the party’s alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala as further evidence of their minority appeasement strategy. Prabhakar also criticized the Congress for not addressing the issue of illegally migrated Rohingyas in the country.
Prabhakar questioned the need for a new alliance name, I.N.D.I.A, instead of sticking with UPA. He demanded that the State government extend free bus travel to all women, emphasizing the need for more buses to accommodate increased commuters due to the scheme. He expressed confidence in the BJP winning 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, citing poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s admission that the party would win at least 300 seats.
Overall, Prabhakar’s statements highlighted his concerns about minority appeasement by the Congress, his party’s confidence in winning a significant number of seats in the elections, and his demands for improved public transportation services in Hyderabad.
