    Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized the importance of ensuring a quality power supply in Hyderabad. This comes after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to the US, which has attracted significant investments from multinational companies.

    The Energy Minister highlighted that Hyderabad is an ideal destination for investments. Globally renowned companies and institutions are showing interest in investing here. During a review meeting with electricity department staff under GHMC limits, Bhatti mentioned that an action plan is being prepared to keep consumers informed about the power supply in their areas.

    He urged the staff to work diligently and publicize their efforts. MNCs are particularly interested in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other service sectors. The review meeting was also held to alert the electricity department staff about the precautionary measures needed due to the rainy season and strong winds that could disrupt power lines.

    The 1912 helpline set up to assist power consumers will be given wide publicity. The electricity department helpline services will be extended similarly to the 108 helpline. Bhatti added that people cannot endure power failures even for a short duration, and the electricity department staff should enhance their services to meet the changing demands.
