Hyderabad: Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the current Congress government in the State will use loans more effectively to support welfare schemes. He mentioned that unlike the previous government, the Congress government aims to generate wealth. Bhatti addressed the media at Gandhi Bhavan, highlighting issues with the Kaleshwaram project and the upcoming State budget based on the Union budget.
Regarding power purchases, Bhatti mentioned former Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy’s call for a judicial inquiry, which Chief Minister Revanth Reddy agreed to during discussions on power purchases. Bhatti assured that party leaders who helped bring the Congress to power in the State would soon receive posts. He also reaffirmed the commitment to farmers’ loan waivers, emphasizing that there should be no doubts.
In celebration of former AICC President Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, Bhatti pledged to uphold Gandhi’s ideas and principles within the State Congress Committee and among village-level party workers. He recalled Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo yatra and his vision for a prosperous India built on secularism and citizen ownership of resources.
