Officials in Bhadrachalam have lifted the first warning level as the water level in the area has started to decrease slowly. At 7 pm on Sunday, the water level was measured at 42.8 feet, which was slightly lower than the 43.9 feet recorded at 12 noon. District Collector Dr Priyanka Ala, along with other top officials, closely monitored the flood situation. In light of the seriousness of the situation, the DC instructed officers to stay at their posts and not leave without permission.

However, devotees in the area expressed their dissatisfaction as they were not allowed to take holy dips in the river due to the floodwaters reaching the bathing steps and pushkarghats. On Sunday, the Collector visited the flood relief centers in Bhadrachalam and interacted with those who had been displaced by the flooding. She emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and providing quality food at the relief shelters.
