Bhadrachalam: As part of the “Vasanta Paksha Tiru Kalyana Brahmotsavalu” celebrations at the Are Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, a traditional ritual called Ankurarpanam was held on Sunday. This event also marked the Telugu New Year.
During the Brahmotsavalu festival, several important ceremonies will take place. These include the Dwajapata Lekhanam on April 2, Agni Pratistha and Dwajarohanam on April 4, Edhurkholu programme on April 5, the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Sita on April 6, the coronation ceremony on April 7, and Chakra Theertham on April 12, which marks the final day of the celebrations.
On Ugadi, the priests gave out special prasadam to the devotees. In the evening, they also held a Panchanga Sravana, where the new year’s almanac was read.
Executive Officer L Rama Devi, along with the temple priests, invited Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to attend the celestial wedding and extended an invitation to the Governor for the coronation ceremony.
