    The first step of the boat Bhadrachalam Town is seeing cheerful lines as AICC member, TPCC senior vice-president, and Bhadradri Kothagudem Congress district president Podem Veeraya from Telangana state is working to unite five gram panchayats in Andhra and bring them back to Telangana. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad heard about this and Podem Veeraiah submitted a petition to him. Telangana State Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also submitted a petition.

    The CM mentioned the need to include the Gram Panchayats of Etapaka, Kannaigudem, Picchukalapadu, Purushottapatnam, and Gundala which belonged to Andhra in Bhadrachalam mandal. He also mentioned that all the rural areas near Bhadrachalam town have come together in Andhra, creating land problems in the shrine area and no space for garbage disposal.

    The presence of these five panchayats in Andhra has implications for border issues for Bhadrachalam and Telangana. Podem Veeraiah highlighted the demands of the people in this region to merge their village panchayats with Telangana.

    During a meeting with the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on July 6, Podem Veeraiah requested them to discuss and take a positive decision for the benefit of Bhadrachalam. CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka responded positively to Podem’s suggestion.

    In the Congress manifesto for recent parliamentary elections, it was promised that these five Gram Panchayats belonging to Bhadrachalam will be included in Telangana. The locals are happy that CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Podem Veeraiah are working towards bringing back these Gram Panchayats to Telangana.

    Podem Veeraiah has been supporting the people’s efforts to merge these five Gram Panchayats into Telangana since his time as the MLA of Bhadrachalam. He has participated in many agitations in the past. The locals are grateful for the efforts of Podem Veeraiah and the support from CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in resolving the issues with these five gram panchayats.
